Paper industry is the third largest application field for titanium dioxide.  Titanium dioxide is mainly used in fine paper and thin paper as a filter. With the addition of titanium dioxide, the paper can be made with better whiteness, better gloss, and higher strength.  The paper is thinner, smoother and more light-weighted.  It is not easy to penetrate during print process.  Antase titanium dioxide without surface treatment is usually used in papermaking process; it can increase the brightness of the paper as a fluorescent brighter.
While for laminated paper, rutile titanium dioxide with surface treatment is used in order to meet the requirements of light stability and thermal stability.
